Papa's Got a Brand New Toy!

What a crazy week it has been, terrorist plots thwarted and floods devastating the north of the country. We have certainly had our share of rain over the last week. Saturday was very wet and chilly so we headed out to our favorite little cafe on Goldhawk Road where the food is yummy, the decor beautiful and the staff friendly (a rarity in London!).

After our yummy breakfast and a few exciting games of Uno (I won 5 games out of 5!!!) Dan headed into the office to do some overtime. Things have been very busy at his office so a wet and windy Saturday seemed a good one to sacrifice to work.

Sunday was a nicer day with the sun popping in occasionally to make us take our jackets off before disappearing and leaving us shivering in the drizzle!

After months of trekking all over West London in search of a decent sized supermarket we finally discovered that there is a bloody huge Tesco just across the tube tracks in Sheppard's Bush! Wish it was a Sainsburys though...

The highlight of our weekend though was the purchase of our new toy, a Samsung GX 10 digital SLR camera! Dan has been researching them for a few months and after visiting the shop for a play then sleeping on it overnight we bit the bullet and bought it! It is a re-branded Pentax and it came with two lenses. Very fun and grown up, still learning to use it, makes me wish I had paid more attention to all those lessons I gave the kids on photography at Craigslea! So our photos will hopefully all be a lot better from now on!
