This weekend we were lucky enough to go to Regent's Park for the London Innocent Village Fete. ('Innocent' is the UK name for the 'Nudie' smoothies and juices). There were farmers markets, wellie wanging, duck herding and ferret racing! We had Pimms, cupcakes made by the North London Women's Institute and there was a knitting tent!
There were also lots of
musical acts, the two we were interested in were The Ukulele Orchestra of Britain and Angus and Julia Stone. Both were absolutely fantastic. As it was pouring rain (really pouring!) we were jammed in but both were well worth it. The Ukulele Orchestra played a number of hits including Life on Mars, Pinball Wizard and Smells Like Teen Spirit and Angus and Julia sound amazing live, very talented those two.It was a great day, we went home tired, covered in dirt and soaked through to the bone.
