Dan's mum and dad arrived in London this week after spending a while traipsing around Germany and Paris. They left again on Thursday to tour around the south west. We booked them onto a hotel in Shepard's Bush Road (just a short walk away) which was once frequented by Nirvana!!!!On my way home from work this week I saw
David Bradley in a cafe in Hammermsith. He has done a lot of work in Britain but is probably best known as Argus Filch, the Hogwarts caretaker in Harry Potter.
It was (another) wet weekend in London. We decided to go and visit Alex and Lea in their new house in the beautiful riverside borough of Richmond.
Richmond is only about 20 minutes on the tube from our house- and no changes! Just past Kew Gardens the town is full of trees, flowers and beautiful little shops.
We spent the morning exploring second-hand bookshops and walking around the lovely streets. We found a cake shop which has seen better days and a beautiful old church which has been converted into flats.
After meeting Alex for lunch on the river we headed back to check out the new pad and play some Nintendo Wii!
