Our trip through Italy was amazing. We flew from Amsterdam to Venice and then travelled through the Italian countryside by train. Yes it's a cliché but the food was just unbelievable. We have never eaten so much, and that is saying something. Tuscan roast pork with garlic and sage, black truffle pasta, proper Roman Carbonara (Vikki I asked, apparently in the south of Italy they don't use cream but in Rome they do), ricotta and spinach pastries, biscotti, capaccio and the coffee, oh lordy the coffee!
