After a very early start, we boarded our plane to Prague for our 2nd wedding anniversary trip. We had heard so many good things about the Czech Republic that we couldn't wait.As soon as we arrived we hopped on the metro to our hotel, which accidentally happened to be next to the Staropramen brewery, it's quite popular over here. We went for lunch in their great restaurant. After a hearty meal we went to see the sights in the old town. Angie enjoyed her trinket shopping there!

The next day we made our way to the station to catch the train to the Kostnice Ossuary - also known as the Church of Bones. We hit a bit of a snag on the way though - just as we were going to buy our train tickets the power went out in the station! When that happened, all of the ticket offices just shut... so we waited for a little in the dark confusion but then gave up. After going back into town and checking out the Municipal House and the Museum of Communism. We went back to the station later in the day - the power was on again, so we made our way out to the Ossuary.

After a trip where we almost fell asleep on the train, we got off and wandered through the suburbs to the Ossuary, where there are the bones of 40,000 people. They ran out of space to bury everyone, so they started making designs with them. It's a bit weird and surreal but very interesting.
On our last day in Prague we made our way up to the historic and impressive Prague Castle. Most impressive of all, though, was St Vitus cathedral. We took in the sights in the packed castle, and then made our way through some of the more secluded parts of town. We just wandered about and enjoyed the city, which was a really good way of seeing the less travelled (and less busy) parts.
