This weekend we hired a car and headed to Exeter to surprise Alex for his 30th birthday. We all got in late but had to be up early the next morning for go kart racing. All Lea's planning paid off, he was extremely surprised to see us all there waiting for him. They got to race for a couple of hours and there were some who took the whole thing very seriously. Everyone had a good time and Alex got a place in the final race.
After the racing we all headed out to a pub on the river with fantastic views and great food. Lea and Nick even made a delicious chocolate cake. When that pub closed we all headed back into town to another pub where the night descended into shenanigans as it usually does.
We also got to meet the new little Lutke, Toby who is absolutely gorgeous and charmed us all.
