What a glorious bank holiday weekend it was! The sun was shining after a VERY wet and chilly week. The Notting Hill Carnival was on this weekend but we were up for a more relaxing few days and so decided to avoid the craziness of Europe's largest street carnival and headed into Hyde Park with Alex and Leah to enjoy the sunshine and steel drum competition.We sat in the sun and listened to the drums until we were all a little pink before heading off for a stroll through the park towards Kensington in search of a cold drink.
The nice weather continued and we spent the whole of Monday on a blanket in Ravenscourt Park reading, eating, napping and playing badminton.
