Topshom and Dartmoor

We hired a car and spent the day driving around the South West. First stop was the little trading port village of Topshom. IT WAS COLD!!!! The wind cut through every layer we had and had us running to the heated car whenever possible. We had a lovely Devonshire tea in a Georgian house where we were the youngest by a good 40 years!

After tea we drove into Dartmoor to find some wild ponies. We could not believe how beautiful the villages were! We wanted to stop so many times but the teeny-tiny roads would not allow it in most places.

We were very excited to spot some snow on the side of the road and then... ponies! I dragged Dan out onto the moor to get close to them which was very exciting. They are so small and very hairy! The wind picked up and suddenly there were little spots of snow! Dan has never seen snow before and although this was not much we were very happy with our day and returned apple cheeked, tired but very happy!
